top 3 websites

http://www.toggletoggle.com/
This website features nothing...except a virtual light switch that you can switch on and off.

http://www.clearlyclosed.com/
Here's a website that celebrates a pet hate of many people...Shops that display 'open' signs when they are actually CLOSED!

http://www.catswhothrowupgrass.com/
It seems that cats are out to not befriend us but to rid the earth of humans...well that's what this website would have you believing as it points out all the signs that show that your cat is really trying to kill you.

The Government wants to censor the internet!

Read up on Communications Misister, Stephen Conroy's plan to Censor the Internet - http://www.minister.dbcde.gov.au/media/media_releases/2008/060

Personally I'm struggling to find anyone who agrees with this plan to filter out 'inappropriate' websites at an Internet service provider level. Mandatory Internet content filters can be found in countries such as Iran, China and Saudi Arabia...is this really the path we want to take?

Of course filtering technology can be good, but it should NOT be mandatory. In fact the government already offers free web filters which can be downlaoded via

Top 3 Websites

http://www.5min.com/
I love a good 'how to' website...so here's another to add to the pile!
It's a 'Life Videopedia' and is full of 5 minute instructional videos on everything from sanding a piece of timber to tips to avoid bags under your eyes.

http://www.43things.com/
Here's a motivating website...it's all about making a list of your goals in life...and having them online so you don't forget what you're setting out to achieve.
It's also interesting to read what other people list as their goals...but as you can probably guess popular entries on people's lists include 'getting out of debt' , 'travelling the world' and 'Love'.

http://www.stumbleupon.com/
This site is a good one to bookmark as it can help you find more websites that suit your interests.
Once you sign up to the service for free you fill in your interests and download the 'stumble' browswer add-on. Every time you clilck that button you'll be taken to a website that matches your interests which has been rated by other members with the same interests.

Obama Spam Warning

Spammers are quick to pick to take advantage of social trends to trick people into reading and opening junk email...and the U.S Elections have unleashede a flood of new 'obama' themed spam.

The spam messages that have been doing the rounds hit inboxes even before Obama had the chance to give his victory speech - promise new video clips of "amazing" Obama speeches...but they actually contain an attachement which, if opened, instead can compromise their personal information.

Also watch out for similar emails that direct you to what appears to be a YouTube webpage....the tipoff that it's not genuine will be when you a are prompted to download a special file so that a video will play correctly - this is a sure sign that it's
not what it's claiming to be.

Naturally if you have good Internet security software you'll be able to spot these fake YouTube websites and block malicious email attachements!
