Speechable is a free photo service where you upload and add speech bubbles to your photos. Kind of like those stickers you can buy and stick on real photos...although through this site you do it virtually...then share the share them with friends.

www.howtocleanstuff.net/
Useful guide on how to ‘clean stuff’ for example, how to clean an iPhone, how to get popcorn smell from the microwave or how to clean your insides...as in detox. Plenty of different categories to choose from so you really will be able to clean anything...that if you actually WANT to clean.

www.ohfreegames.com
A load of cool free games to choose from. Categories include Puzzle, card, action, arcade and word games. Play online with others or on your own...and best of all they are all free to play...and we love free stuff.

Microsoft news and a Giveaway!
Also for you this week some news from Microsoft and some giveaways!

Now one of the most popular pieces of software on any computer would have to be an office suite...for creating documents like letters, spreadsheets and presentations.

If you buy a new computer you'll usually find some basic word processing software might be included, but you need something bettter then you might want to
check out Microsoft Office ...especially as Microsoft is running a promotion at the moment which means you can get it up to 40 percent cheaper.
Probably the most accessable version would be the Home and Student 2007 edition which includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote (which is a great program for compiling information when working on a project or researching information and collaborating with others)

That Home and Student edition is normally valued at just over 200 dollars, but with the promotion on at the moment you can actually buy it for under $150
plus i'm sure you could always claim it on Tax for work or study.

The great news for our listeners tonight though is that I have 10 copies of Microsoft Office Home and Student edition to give away...no strings attached!

To enter - Drop an email to aw@andywells.com - Include your full name and postal address with phone number. (your details will not be shared with any third parties)
The first 10 entries will recieve a copy of the program!

Top 3 Websites

http://www.turtlesays.com
Firstly, nothing to do with Turtles? It’s simply another good website to waste 10 – 30minutes on. It’s filled with an assortment of funny videos…like there’s not enough of them online.

www.placespotting.com
We'll call this a web 'game' of sorts. Using Google Maps, which we spoke about last week on the show, the website features a satellite image of a location...the trick is that they don't reveal where in the world it is

www.wonderhowto.com
There's plenty of self-help and how-to website around...but this is one of the more useful examples as every piece of 'how to advice' is in video format.

Bigpond music - annouces MP3 downloads in a world first move.

Bigpond has just announced that they will start selling music from their online store (Bigpondmusic.com) in the MP3 file format. What does this mean?

Well it's great news for iPod owners, as previously music downloaded from Bigpond's online store wasn't compatible with iPod devices...in fact using the MP3 format means that music purchased from the site can be played on just aboy any digital music device on the market.

Additionally they have annouced that music will be encoded at 256kbps and 320kbps which makes it the highest quality digital audio that you can get from any Australian download music store.

top 3 websites

www.govolunteer.com.au
If you feel you have plenty off free time on your hands that you'd like to put to good use then this website can point you in the right direction.

www.thesurrealist.co.uk
Here's a good site if you have plenty of time on your hands that you simply want to fill with your own personal amusement....and its range of funny name and other funny word and story generators is especially good.

www.snowjoke.com
Here's something fun you can do with a photo of yourself or someone you know.
Bascially you choose a template - retro skier, snowboarder or couple - then upload your face photo....and add accessories like hats and goggles....presto a photo of you all dressed up and looking the part at the snow.

Also new this week...

Google maps is a handy online mapping tool that's handy for finding your way...or just enjoying satellite views of hwere you live...however this week, Google added Street view to Google maps - a function that lets you get right down to roadside level with the 360 degree view of what's around.

Now some people are not happy about this as they say it is a breach of their privacy...but i have to say that it can be a very handy feature to have.

A good example is when I was recently heading to Los Angeles and I had to look up the address of the hotel I was staying at....not only could i view the location on a map...but i could also use the streetview feature to look at some of the surrounding buildings and look for shops and other features so I could find the place easily when i got there.

Naturally the stories are starting to flow of embarrasing photos appearing on the street view feature...becuase the images where simply taken by using a special camera
mounted on a car driving down the road...so they weren't fussy about who was in the area and what they were doing at the time.

Check out the feature for yourself...it covers a large part of Australia already so try and type in your home address - http://maps.google.com

Also this week, because father's day is coming up next month I found a cool dad-type gadget.

From Oregon Scientific it's a wireless weather station that does more than just give you the current indoor temperature! Now the model that i've been reviewing
is basically loaded up with enough measuring equipment to make you a weather expert.

The whether stations isn't much bigger than your hand, but it measures
barometric pressure and has two temperature sensors...one of which is wireless so you can stick it outside. All this will actually give you a 12-24 hour forecast using an animated display...so if all goes well, you will know when it going to rain before the weatherman tells you!

The weather station also has an ice warning function and has a buit in alarm clock.
Get more info on this gadget at oregonscientific.com.au or check out national geographic shops.
